"Very easy, usable and fast"

Egmont uses LogBuy's Employee Concept. Lars Nygaard Jepsen, Vice President Procurement, says: "We are a newly started function within Egmont. Our primary task is to reduce the costs in the many units of the company.

Staff deals as a benefit
Being an internal company function, we were interested in getting ourselves marketed within the company and presenting staff deals is a good way to do this. Staff deals are an attractive benefit, as everyone has an interest in saving money on their private shopping.

There were already a few local staff deals within Egmont, e.g. for fitness, but the deals were not coordinated centrally and therefore, Egmont did not have a catalogue presenting the staff deals. It would have taken quite some resources for us to gather and increase the number of deals, and also to administrate, communicate and maintain the deals to our employees.

The decision to outsource
As we wish to focus our resources on our key competence, we decided to outsource the maintenance of employee deals and place it in the hands of someone who has negotiation and maintenance of staff deals as their key competence - in this way, 1 and 1 becomes 3.

We chose LogBuy's Employee Concept because it is very easy, usable and fast to implement. Finding the deals is easy, and there are many deals to choose from. We simply link to LogBuy's website from our intranet and thereby we avoid a whole lot of maintenance of the website and instruction books for our employees, and at the same time the number of deals is steadily increasing."

Reactions from the employees
The employees' reactions to our initiative have been very positive. When we introduced the concept to Egmont, Managing Director Søren E. Jakobsen, said: "A good and simple idea. The only thing that is bugging me is that I had just finished painting my house when we became part of the deals!"
